A couple of years ago in early November Lars went into the studio with a group of outstanding musicians to record his latest album. On the piano was George Burton, on drums Wayne Smith jr., both from Philadelphia and two of the great young players on the US and international jazz scene. On bass was the unbelievable master, James Genus who is known for his work with Michael Brecker, Pat Martino, Ravi Coltrane and who has been one of the most prominent bassists in jazz over the last 30 years. It has been a pleasure and a thrill to work with him. On the selection "Larsio Theme" the band is joined by the outstanding singer Oli Rockberger.
Currently Lars is in the studio with engineer Rene Antelmann to mix the tracks they have recorded. The music will be available soon to listen to on this page. Most of the compositions are originals by Lars, two pieces are jazz standards in new arrangements.
